Kantha Hooded Vest, Burgundy
"Godhari" is an Indian quilting process in which multiple layers of recycled sari cloth are sewn together with a stitch known as "kantha." This brand is designed by Susan Salkin, a Clevelander who heads up a local nonprofit to promote and provide a livelihood for female artisans of the Panchgani region of India. No two of these pieces are exactly alike. The fit is deliberately oversized -- these deep-armholed vests are meant to be layered. This version has a hood and a pocket on one hip.
- Our model, Kayla, is 5'9". She typically wears a size 2-4 in most of the brands that we carry.
- This one-size-only piece should work for sizes 4-16 with ease.
- Multiple fabrics are involved, but most are cotton and silk.
- Hand wash; lay flat to dry.
- Made in India.
