The Buying Mistake Almost Everyone Makes

Let's get real — how many pieces in your closet still have the tags on?
This week, Kim and Sylvie went through their own closets to hunt for the pieces we bought, but never, EVER wear. After brainstorming WHY, we realized it almost always comes down to one of three things:

1. Fit vs. flattery — It technically fits, but it doesn't move with you.
The fix: before you buy, ask what you'd wear it with, and when in the next two weeks you'd actually reach for it.

2. Occasion mismatch — You bought it for the life you wish you had, not the one you actually live.
The fix: before you buy, ask what you'd wear it with, and when in the next two weeks you'd actually reach for it.

3. Color that doesn't talk to your closet — It looked great on its own, but it's an island once you get it home.
The fix: hold it up against what you already wear constantly, not just against your skin in the mirror. What does this work with that you already have in the closet?

This week's Weekly Style Edit walks through all three — including a few "duds" from our own closets, and what we reach for over and over instead.
