Our in-store customers love this fabric, a very lightweight woven rayon blend with a subtle sheen. It's used to excellent advantage in these sweeping pants, which have an elastic waistband and full, lantern-shaped legs. We find these are running true to size to a bit large.
Our model, Jeanette, is 5'9". She's wearing a size XSmall, which was quite roomy on her waist; we had to clamp the pants in back to keep them up. We now suspect that this pair is mismarked, and they are actually more like a size Large. Her measurements: Bust, 32 inches; Waist, 26 inches; Hip, 37 inches.
- Small: Waist, 28 inches; Hip, 46 inches; Inseam, 25 inches; Rise, 10.5 inches.
- Medium: Waist, 39 inches; Hip, 46 inches; Inseam, 25.5 inches; Rise, 10.5 inches.
- Large: Waist, 30 inches; Hip, 48 inches; Inseam, 26 inches; Rise, 11 inches.
- X Large: Waist, 32 inches; Hip, 50 inches; Inseam, 27 inches; Rise, 11.5 inches.
Cut Loose is an extensive line of casual clothing that’s sewn and dyed to order in San Francisco. Their silhouettes are simple, flattering and easy-to-wear. Cut Loose started in the late ’70s, street-vending T-shirts and drawstring pants on Fisherman’s Wharf. The beginning designs were “cut loose”, one size fits all. Back then, you couldn’t find T-shirts in great colors, so they dyed their own in a Victorian claw-footed bathtub – and people loved them. And still do.
