About the Designer

Born and raised in California, Galadriel Mattei has a background in fine arts. She created her eponymous collection while working as a costumer for print and film, focusing on an eco-friendly luxury line of recycled cashmere pieces, all of which are painstakingly hand-dyed, hand-stitched and hand-embroidered. The concept that sparks her creativity is FEMP: Folklore, Elitelore, Monsters and Politics. Each season, Galadriel and her team use FEMP as the point of reference for their aesthetic realization.
