So much fun! Taking his inspiration from utilitarian workwear, Mr. Rundholz has hand-dyed these cotton twill knit pants to rather spectacular effect. They have a set-in waistband and an extremely extended rise and full legs. Pockets sit on the hips and extra low on the back thighs. These are running quite large; we had to clamp this pair in back on our model to get them to stay up!

Size & Fit

Our model, Tondi, is 5'9"; she's wearing a size Small here, which was VERY large on her. Her measurements: Bust, 32 inches; Waist, 28 inches; Hip, 35 inches.

Contents & Care

  • 100 percent cotton.
  • Machine wash, cold, inside out, gentle cycle; lay flat to dry.
  • Washing separately before wearing is highly recommended to avoid color transfer.

About the Designer

Carsten and Lenka Rundholz founded the Rundholz brand in Germany in 1993. The couple carefully rebuilt an ancient, regional farm into a modern headquarters in the Lower Rhine area, only an hour away from major cities like Dusseldorf and Cologne. They find endless inspiration in this region, which is characterized by small rivers and old trees, tiny fortresses and huge old farms, in their creative oasis, hidden behind high hedges and old willows. They create three distinct labels: Rundholz, Rundholz DIP and Rundholz Black Label, more than 600 pieces each year. “Our pattern makers are often astonished by the result of Carsten's sewing experiments; they need to rip the seams on everything in order to understand his patterns,” says Lenka. But before conquering the runway, all outfits have to pass the most crucial test. “Nothing will be put into the collection before Lenka gives her approval,” Carsten says.
