Rome is a terrific layering partner, one with year-round appeal. It has an exaggerated collar, with a set-in shoulder, three-quarter-length sleeves and an open-front construction. The silhouette is A-line and swingy, with a versatile, hip-skimming length. Running true to size.

Our model, Amanda, is 5'8"; she's wearing a size XSmall here. Her measurements: Bust, 34 inches; Waist, 25 inches; Hip, 36 inches.

Melis Kozan started her career at Diesel, but left to launch two lines of her own, Isle and Kozan. Her busy life of travel between Europe, the United States and Turkey (she was raised in Istanbul, where her lines are manufactured) led Melis to create a sophisticated, artful line that was also comfortable enough to wear on a plane for 10 hours. She and her business-partner husband live in New Jersey with their twin sons.
