For folks who like the idea of denim, but not the actual fit, Cynthia Ashby comes to the rescue with Vela! Made in a soft cotton twill, they have a flat waistband in front with elastic in back. The legs are full and lantern-shaped, before tapering to a crossover pleat detail at the ankle. Slit pockets sit on the hips. The fit is quite relaxed.
